The photos below show the Capitol's dome being maintained and repaired. Since construction began in 1793, the building has undergone many phases of expansion and refurbishment. As they preserve the beauty of the Capitol Dome, they don't halt their efforts to reach out to the public. Thousands of people tour the building daily, even as their improvement efforts go on. Congress continues to meet as the improvements efforts go on. It is their desire to continue to inspire the many students who are eager to soak up as much information as possible. These young people are our nation's future leaders.
Alpha Chi Alpha has been an alumnae chapter since 1938. We have been a constant support of our Tulsa area alumnae sisters for almost 80 years. In your years as an alumna, you may have seen our chapter go through times of "maintenance and repair." You have seen a variety of service projects and social activities offered, and have certainly seen Chapter Presidents come and go. But though our chapter may go through changes from time to time, our service to our alumnae goes on. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our members, and we do that by adapting to change. As culture changes, we adapt. As membership changes, we adapt. As communication methods change, we adapt.
As your president, it is my desire to preserve and honor our past, while inspiring young leaders. Our board is here to serve you, and we desire your input! How can we enrich your life? How can we serve you better? Please tell us in the comment section below! We are always seeking new ideas, and new members who are willing to help us with the mission. See the link below for more information on ways to serve Alpha Chi Alpha, your Tulsa Area Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter. Thank you!!
