Do you lead a Purpose Driven Life? Do you have Seven Habits that make you Highly Effective? Do you know your Love Language? What is your method for Getting Things Done? Do you know the Color of your Parachute, or Who Moved your Cheese? Do you long for Boundaries, Essentialism, or Love & Respect? Are YOU goal-oriented? Are YOU mission-minded? Do you make time to improve yourself?
I like to set aside a designated time each day "sharpening the saw." I spend that time reading, studying, listening, and praying. I read the Bible, I read books on leadership & time management, various bible studies, and I listen to a variety of podcasts. I am intentional about learning ways to improve my leadership, and to be more efficient in my daily life.
I am currently reading Living Forward by Hyatt & Harkavy, The Circle Maker by Batterson, People Who Eat Darkness by Parry, and studying Namesake by LaGrone. On deck is Essentialism by McKeown, and The Family of Jesus by Kingsbury. The podcasts that I subscribe to are "Chris Brown's True Stewardship", "A Slob Comes Clean", and "This is Your Life with Michael Hyatt & Michele Cushatt". I listen to podcasts while I clean, make dinner, exercise, or drive around town. My car is a rolling university!
The Alpha Chi Omega fraternity is devoted to enriching the lives of members through lifetime opportunities for friendship, leadership, learning, and service. Our Tulsa alumnae chapter follows this mission as well. We design our events and activities around this mission. We do this intentionally.
What are you intentional about? Are you a lifelong learner? Do you live your life on purpose? What do you read? What podcasts do you listen to? Are your intentional with your friendships? Please leave notes in the comments section below and let us know!
